About

With sound science as our base, we present environmental issues in a nonpolitical way. We seek to make science and environmental information available to and useful to all Hoosiers.

What are we?

The Indiana Environmental Reporter is an independent reporting organization supported by The Media School at Indiana University. We are also supported by Indiana University’s Environmental Resilience Institute, in part through funding from Prepared for Environmental Change, a multidisciplinary IU initiative to deliver actionable environmental solutions to communities throughout the state. Works created, published, posted, or disseminated by the Indiana Environmental Reporter do not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of Indiana University, The Media School at Indiana University, the Environmental Resilience Institute, or any of their affiliates.

Mission

The mission of the Indiana Environmental Reporter is to present residents of Indiana with factual information about environmental change. As well, we focus on strategies for citizens to prepare for, adapt to, and respond to the impact of environmental change in their daily lives. Our reporting relies on high-quality scientific information. With sound science as our base, we present environmental issues in a nonpolitical way. We seek to make science and environmental information available to and useful to all Hoosiers.

Values

We value accuracy, fairness, independence, timeliness, scientific rigor, and nonpartisan reporting.
